Beginning January 2, 2013, and throughout the month, the Department will be working to convert to electronic status all lienholders who have applied for participation in the ELT program. The Department anticipates having all ELT lienholders online and electronic by February 1, 2013.
During this transition period, lienholders may continue to receive paper titles until they have been converted to electronic status.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation during this transition period.

Florida Lienholders -
Due to the amount of lienholders that need to be set up in the Electronic Lien & Title (ELT) program by 1/1/2013 the state is highly recommending you send in your state applications by 12/1/2012. If you do not have your applications submitted by this date you may not be approved before the ELT mandate on 1/1/2013. Please contract sales@vintek.com to be set up!

Lienholders in FL –
ELT Continues to Grow!
FL is the latest state to pass legislation to require most if not all lienholders be set up in the FL DHSMV electronic lien & title program. Beginning January 1, 2013 the Florida DHSMV will require that anyone who records a lien on a vehicle, vessel or mobile home be enrolled in the DHSMV ELT program.
After this date no paper titles with liens will be issued in FL. It is the law! Going forward the DHSMV will only issue paperless titles (also known as ELT).

Update on Georgia Mandatory ELT -
In accordance with GA HB 865, passed last session the GA Department of Revenue has proposed GA Rule 560-10-12-.03. The proposed rule provides for the phase in schedule for mandatory ELT. The schedule for lender compliance in the ELT program is outlined below:
Any individual/entity recording more than 500 Security Interests in 2012 must comply by January 1, 2013
Any individual/entity recording 200 or more Security Interests in 2012 must comply by July 1, 2012
Any individual/entity recording more than 5 Security Interests in 2013 must comply by January 1, 2014
The Department must receive all comments regarding the proposed rule by November 13, 2012 at which time the DOR will consider the adoption of said rule.
